I have resisted working with digital collage for years. As a lark I started playing with this image of a moldy lemon in an espresso cup. I got hooked on it and after a few weeks of much fun I came up with this series. Each collage contains the image of the lemon. I used photos I have taken of my friends and travels over the past few years. I see this lemon, in transition, as somewhat of a metaphor for living. I enjoyed working with the colors and am pleased with the striking and curious final images.
