| We took a brief sabbatical from the gallery and Dinner at Wingspan to manage a Bed and Breakfast in Costa Rica. We have compiled a group of photos representing what we did and saw on our adventure. Our stays in Costa Rica were limited to 90 days. We had to leave the country for 72 hours before returning. Nicaragua is the closest country to visit. We made our first trip in November 2009. Three hours by car to Granada. Crossing the border was quite an experience. We were glad to have a driver to help us get through the 2 hour crossing. Many papers to check and have stamped. Some of the trucks take up to 3 days to get across. We stayed in a very nice hotel, the Dario in Granada. It was formerly a private residence. We spent time exploring the city and also took an island boat tour on the lake. There are many islands and some have been purchased privately for homes. Some of the homes are very elaborate, some are not. One of the islands is a habitat for 3 monkeys that a vet rescued and placed there. People stop by to feed them as we did. |
